Your ion package allows several hours of personalized training for you and your team. Here are a few online basics that compliment our training. To learn more, view our user's manual on Data Walls and Student Profile.
Online User's Guide
Our online user's guide can be accessed on the user dropdown menu
- Click the “Help” link.
- The Help Center will populate
- Click "View Manual" and the User's Manual will populate in a new window.
- Our "in-app" support is found on the question mark button at the top center of every page. If a page you are on is referenced in the manual, clicking that ?" will take you directly to that support as shown in this example when the user is on the Data Wall page.
Some modules also have "in-app" support . For example, when using data walls, users that click on the "?" icon will see that portion of the online user's guide.
Support Tickets
1. If you need to open a support ticket, click the “Support” button on the bottom left hand of the screen.
2. A dialog box will open – giving you the opportunity to tell us about your issue – and allows you to attach a screen shot. The more details you can provide, the more the support team can dig in and respond to your request.
If the support button is in the way of a visualization, click it to move to one of the other 3 corners of the page.

Underneath the “User" box, there is a search box. To find a student, begin typing letters for a student's first or last name. This is an auto-complete search box. When you have located the student, either click on their name, or use the arrow keys to select a student. Pressing “Enter” before a student is selected will do nothing.
There is a specialized context folder. It’s purple, and called “ion Walls” (or ion Dashboards). This context is reserved for data walls and dashboards that were developed and deployed by ion.
Within a folder, you will see blue data wall buttons. Each button contains the name of the data wall, and up to four “badges” in the upper right hand corner.
- If you have the ability to edit the given data wall, you will see a green “edit” icon.
- The purple copy icon makes a copy of the data wall.
- If you have the ability to delete the given data wall, you will see a red “trash” icon.
- The last badge lists the number of times a data wall has been viewed.
To view the data wall, click the blue wall button.
Data Walls in ion look a lot like a spreadsheet. They also function like a spreadsheet. Data Wall users can sort, filter, and drill into data. To view a data wall, click on it.
Directly below the header row is the Quick Filter bar.
To filter a column, simply begin typing your filter conditions in the quick filter text box. The data wall will automatically update.
You can filter on multiple columns. Type your filter value in as many columns as you'd like.
